Job Summary: Takkion, a leader in the energy industry with a commitment to "Moving Energy Forward," is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll operations within our organization.
The Senior Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and the efficient administration of all payroll-related functions.
This position requires a strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of payroll processes, and the ability to lead a team.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Oversee and process multiple batch entities accurately and timely, including salaried and hourly employees.
* Ensure that all payroll transactions, deductions, and adjustments are processed accurately.
* Manage payroll for employees across various locations and departments.
* Review and verify payroll reports for accuracy.
* Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
* Prepare and file payroll tax returns and reports in a timely manner.
* Address any payroll compliance issues and resolve discrepancies.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of payroll tax codes, rates, and reporting requirements.
* Possess knowledge of prevailing wage laws and regulations, especially if relevant to the organization's industry or projects.
* Ensure accurate payroll processing in compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
* Stay informed about changes in prevailing wage rates and reporting obligations.
* Lead and mentor the payroll team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
* Manage team performance and assist in setting performance goals.
* Promote a positive work environment that fosters collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for auditing purposes.
* Prepare payroll-related reports for management, HR, and accounting departments.
* Analyze payroll data and provide insights to improve processes and cost efficiencies.
*Job Requirements*
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is recommended.
* Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly desirable.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, including supervisory roles.
* In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, tax requirements, and prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
* Proficiency with payroll software and systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.
00 - $95,000.
